ICE detention conditions

Joytu Chowdhury, a 24-year-old Bangladeshi student in Illinois, made the difficult decision to self-deport after enduring what he described as inhumane conditions during two months of detention by ICE.His student visa issues escalated into a nightmare, ultimately leading him to feel overwhelmed and hopeless after initially planning to fight his case and stay in the US to be with his wife, a US citizen.
