Cattle smuggling in Assam has become a significant concern for law enforcement agencies, especially in light of recent anti-smuggling operations.On May 8, 2023, police officials in the Rupahi area of Nagaon district executed a successful raid, seizing 32 cattle and two vehicles linked to illegal cattle transport activities heading towards Bangladesh.
